2. Build a water-worthy boat out of recycled materials - make sure you follow the rules.
3. Come up with a team theme and costumes - the crowd loves to see the fun teams and will cheer you to shore.
Make sure the outfits include your life vests.
4. Bring your boat to Cooper's Landing on June 9th at 1pm to enter the race.
Have a plan to transport your boat to the marina and home from Mercer Park.

Here are the rules:

All vessels must be handmade – no kits!
Must be pollution free- no fuel/engines
Cannot exceed 9 feet in width
Must cost less than $50 (try to recycle and reuse materials!)
All participants must be at least 16 years of age - Parental permission is required for those ages 16-18
All participants must wear a U.S. Coat Guard approved life vest
No alcohol consumption is permitted
Must reach finish line within one hour or be towed from the river and eliminated from competition
All participants must sign a waiver (download and submit with registration or sign at check-in!)
