 Uganda Water Project- The Rev. Dr. B.J. Norrix is lead pastor for the Syracuse United Methodist Ministries, is a retired United Methodist Pastor who has served over 45 years in parish ministry. In retirement he is serving Christ Community United Methodist Church in the town of Van Buren (part time as of July 1, 2025). He serves as Nexus Seminary Uganda's Director of Resource Development and is the Director of Friends of Nexus, Inc. (a not-for-profit incorporated in the USA). Dr. Norrix has visited Uganda and East Africa over 20 times since 2007 to collaborate with Soul Fishing Ministries and Nexus Seminary. Nexus Seminary is a seminary without walls taking training to the remotest parts of Uganda/Kenya. Nexus Seminary partners with "Wells of Love" to provide and maintain fresh water sources in rural Uganda. We also partner with local medical clinics (recently providing an ultrasound machine for a clinic in Lusanga, Uganda); as well as parish schools, a credit union, and multiple other development projects. He has published four resources (the fifth will be printed this fall) in Uganda. The resources are published in English and Luganda, which is the principal tribal language in Uganda. Dr. Norrix lives in Liverpool, New York with his wife of 46 years Rev. Karen Bellimer.

Dress for the weather wear boots and gloves for protection. Please bring a bag for collecting litter. Bring your collected trash , NO YARD waste, to the drop off location at the Mercer Park parking lot before noon.
Pictures of each group collecting will be taken after signing photo waiver. When you bring your trash to Mercer Park, stickers will be placed on the bags for collection. Last group picture of all participating community members will be at noon. Be Green Bsldwinsville!

On Every Wednesday of your assigned month, pick up bread products from the Tops on Downer Street around 9:15. The bakery is at the back of the store. You will get 1-4 shopping carts of bread products. The deliver them to Baldwinsville Methodist Church pantry (side door) at 17 W Genesee St 10 AM or later.
